Privacy Policy

Overview

Partum is an offline study companion for UCT MBChB obstetrics block revision. It does not require an account, does not connect to the internet during normal use, and does not sell or share your personal information.

This policy describes what the app stores on your device and how you can control it.

What we collect

Partum does not collect data on our servers. Everything below stays on your iPhone or iPad unless you choose to export it.

• Study progress — card review schedules, quiz scores, plan ticks, topic completion, and similar learning state.
• Your settings — exam date, daily new-card limit, reminders, and display preferences.
• Clerking drafts — text you enter in clerking templates (stored locally only).
• Optional backup file — if you tap Export backup, a JSON file is written to a location you choose (Files, AirDrop, etc.). We never receive it automatically.

What we do not collect

Partum does not use analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or third-party SDKs that phone home.

• No account or sign-in
• No location tracking
• No contacts, photos, or microphone access for study features
• No automatic cloud sync to WIZ MED or Upstream.Africa

Clinical content disclaimer

Partum is a revision aid compiled from block teaching materials. It is not a substitute for clinical judgement, supervision, or official hospital protocols.

Do not enter real patient identifiers into clerking templates. The app warns where fields may contain sensitive information; you are responsible for de-identification.

Children

Partum is intended for medical students and qualified clinicians. It is not directed at children under 13.

Your choices

You can delete all local data by removing the app from your device. To keep a copy first, use Me → Export backup.

You can reset progress from within the app where those controls are offered, or by reinstalling.

Changes

We may update this page when the app changes. The date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
